The Enapps ERP Project

The Enapps project methodology is inspired by the Agile philosophy. The methodology splits the project into sections and specific functionalities. Each section of system functionality consists of a deliverable area of the project, a required feature of the system, a technical area, or a business process. The first goal of each project section is to provide you with a working ‘Beta System’ as soon as possible. This allows for quick and direct feedback which means we can ensure the requirement is being delivered correctly. Our method works due to the framework and modularity of the solution which means developments are completed quickly and can have additional changes added in the process without greatly affecting the overall project plan.

Each section and functionality undergoes the following stages:

Stage Description
Scoping Documenting requirement deliverables
Developments Programming of modules
Draft System Draft database and system with the installed modules
Testing and revisions Power users test the draft block, confirming the functionality is production ready
Enhancements Feedback and adjustments received from testing are developed
Finished Section Final testing and completion

Advantages:

Engagement – The client sees and tests the draft system.

Feedback – The client reacts to the draft and we make the required changes if required.

Needs – Initial requirements within the functional areas are confirmed as met by the client. New options and adjustments raised by the client are completed in the changes and the client retests.

Training During Development – Key staff learn the system early and become experts, so familiarity and confidence quickly builds in the project. Familiarity with the software grows facilitating a smooth ‘Go Live’ phase.

Flexibility – The Methodology is flexible with new information and discoveries actioned quickly, meaning that the overall project remains on track for completion.

Realistic – The Methodology recognises the inherent challenge in connecting all the dots in any implementation.

Course Adjustments – The Methodology recognises that estimated times and actual times will differ, sometimes less and sometimes more. The overall project, however, remains on track for completion. In our experience, this approach is significantly more effective than traditional waterfall project management methods.
