CRM chained activities is one of the areas that our latest developments have enhanced. You may not currently use the CRM activity functionality, but we are pretty sure that you will want to use it when you understand what can be achieved. Chained activities can be used when your company handles a project which involves many different functional areas and you need to ‘pass the baton’ for an action to the next person in the chain.
If you did not have this functionality, you would have to create a different activity for every user and assign them one by one, which complicates the workflow and makes it more difficult to track the results. Now by using the enhanced chained functionality, you can save time and effort by simplifying complex processes.
To explain this more clearly, I’ll provide you with a practical example; Let us assume that you are managing the sales process, where the duties are divided in the following way: one person is in charge of keeping in touch with clients, the other is drawing the contracts and the third person is delivering goods from the warehouse directly to the client. As a manager, you need to keep your eye on every stage of the process.
This will now be much easier using the enhanced chained activity. All you need to do is create a task for the first employee and then using a previously created template where all three employees will be involved, you can automatically assign the relevant task to the right person. Having completed their particular task, the operator presses ‘Done’ and the next user in the chain will automatically be assigned the next task.
Our CRM chained activities have now become way more flexible and more powerful, since the required workflow can be setup and saved within the Activity Chain Template.
