General Questions

In general how long can it take to implement an ERP?
In general it can take anywhere between 40 days to a few years, depending on a company's needs. Larger businesses or more complex implementations can take longer, however smaller businesses can take a shorter time than this. Generally, most of our clients have implemented their system within 80 days.
It usually takes between 60 to 80 days to implement our ERP system as we focus on SME businesses. This length of time is also directly influenced by the level of contribution that the client is willing to make. In most cases our clients have implemented their system within 80 days.
Introducing an ERP nearly always means change! A good communications plan is vital - what and why you are doing it. Stakeholder involvement is also key - not just the guy at the top but also advocates in the main business areas. Good staff training is central too. Last and not least, don't forget to celebrate the change!
There are a number of customer testimonials on this web site to give you an idea of what it is like to be an Enapps client. However, if applicable we usually arrange for a reference meeting or call with a relevant Enapps customer when we are in a preferred vendor position with you and you have completed your ERP evaluation process.
A combination of a one-off individualised implementation fee (limited to module selection, so you only pay for what you need), as well as a SAAS monthly user fee. An initial chat with our expert team should soon determine an estimated overall cost.
Implementing an ERP system can be transformative for a small and medium size business but, as a result of that, it can take quite a bit of commitment from every major area of the business. It is also a change project for any business in its own right and will need championing from the owners and Directors from the start and throughout. This initial period of the first six months tends to be where the time and attention needs to be concentrated.
Once you have constructed a selection process and selected your supplier there will be a period of a number of days set aside for scoping. This is where the supplier sits down at your offices with all the major stakeholders (owners and key members of the business) and draws up a list of requirements and discusses challenges. This is then written up into a Scope of Work and a fixed price for the project is given. After this Scope the company is free to walk away.
There are several reasons an ERP can fail. It can be that the stakeholders are never fully committed. It can be that there is too much functionality included too quickly and expectations are set too high for the first phase. It can also be that it is not Project Managed well either internally or externally by the ERP vendor. Suffice to say that Enapps has a 100% successful ERP implementation record.

Software Specific Questions

Generally, we do not provide demo versions of the application since it is highly configured for each customer, so if we did provide a demo version it would likely not deliver in a number of areas. We do, however, engage with prospective customers through a series of presentations and Proof of Concept sessions. This is where we take a sample of your data and present a typical “end-to-end” process from your business within the Enapps system. We also provide customer testimonials that you can find on this site.
Yes, Enapps is fully multi-currency and we have implemented Enapps into 15 other countries apart from the UK. It can also be delivered in languages other than English.
Yes, Enapps is from an Open Source heritage and as such the company has always been open and transparent. The source code can be provided free of charge if required.
Yes, we can transfer and/or convert data from just about any system into Enapps ERP. We have several ETL tools that allow us to for instance migrate Sage50 data line-by-line or map an Excel/CSV file directly into the ERP. This ensures that your Go Live experience runs much smoother, since you are immediately running with your up to date data.
Enapps is modular in design which means that we can integrate to other finance systems, like Sage or CRM systems. We also have experience of integrating Enapps to other CRMs and other finance systems.
Enapps as a finance system is fully HMRC and MTD compliant. With a focus on the UK SME market we have many British businesses using our system to run their companies and submit reports and accounts through to HMRC.
Enapps is delivered either on-premise or from the cloud, however, virtually all clients today opt for cloud-based due to the added flexibility.
We always start every project with a Scoping phase where we form an understanding of how you operate as a business, your challenges, how you would like to run as a business and capture your requirements in detail. These are then documented in a Scope document and a fixed price for the implementation is provided and both are sent forward for you for review. Once you agree and are happy to sign the document you then proceed to a full implementation. However, if after the scoping phase you are unhappy for any reason, you are free to walk away at that point, having only been exposed to the scoping costs.
Yes, the implementation includes training in the price which is usually delivered on-site but can also be delivered through several virtual meetings. We can also offer a “train the trainer” route. You can also commission training at any time after the implementation.

After your ERP is in place

We charge a ‘software usage fee’ per user per month. This allows access to all parts of the system and includes 'Maintenance & bug fixing', cloud hosting & Backups. The only other costs you will incur are for proactive changes to the system.
You can also purchase any of the pre-implementation services post-implementation. So, if you just want to top training for new starters, or you would like a new module within the ERP, we will specify what you ask for and send a quotation to you and nothing will go ahead until you sign off the work.
Just tell us and we will add or remove the users. You next monthly figures will then reflect the changes within the next calendar month.
